As an organization that exists to solve problems, Prunedge has shown support to the student community in Akure by making financial, professional, and infrastructural donations to the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) in Ondo State. The donations were made to help drive continuous and sustainable education, improving learning conditions for students while also providing them with facilities for a better educational experience.
The Prunedge team also paid a visit to the institution’s Apex office, where Vice-Chancellor Professor Joseph Adeola Fuwape welcomed them with open arms. The Leading IT/Tech solutions startup donated air conditioning units to the Cyber Security department of the tertiary institution, and also sponsored a TEDx event on campus that welcomed hundreds of students and monumental members of the alumnus of the prestigious Federal University of Technology, Akure.
“It is always a pleasure to give back to the institution that made us,” Prunedge CEO Joel Ogunsola remarked. The goal, according to the FUTA Alumni, ‘’is to provide the university with the required help as they continue to produce extraordinary individuals. For many of the bright minds that make up the FUTA community, an opportunity is all they need to sharpen their talents and expand their horizons. By providing them with the necessary assistance, we want to help them succeed in their studies.” Joel Added.
The donations will go a long way to better equip students with requisite learning to help them innovate and develop their talents to excel in their chosen careers as they go on to become ambassadors of the immediate community and country.
TEDxFUTA
The TI Francis Auditorium in Akure was buzzing with activity on February 12th, 2022, as the TEDxFUTA event welcomed innovators, disruptors, and non-technical experts. ‘What Next?’ was the topic of the event, which drew inspiration from development and succession systems and prompted attendees to explore the next step in an ever-changing and fast-paced world. At the event, Prunedge was well represented by its staff and sponsors and offered some internships to students interested in technological professions.
Inspiring discussions from a diverse group of skilled speakers centered around sparking ideas and developing solutions that are basic and specific across many social structures, the event aims to explore new possibilities and encourage audiences to reflect on these topics.
