Joel served as the pioneer head of Ondo State Office of Innovation and Partnerships, and the youngest Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Ondo State Governor from 2019 – 2020 (the youngest SSA at the time of appointment and youngest head of an innovation government agency across Africa). He was responsible for managing and securing partnerships for development related projects within the government as well as driving innovation across all existing and new government initiatives, ensuring that the government meets the startup thinking, the technology, and the partners required to turn these initiatives into scalable and sustainable solutions.

Joel previously worked at Microsoft where he led the Education Technology Advisory team in Nigeria. He also co-founded and leads partnerships and sustainability across a number of impact initiatives. A graduate of mechanical engineering, he currently also serves as a partner and co-founder at Isisae Consulting, a pan-African sustainability advisory and impact investment consulting company.
